| Acne can be a debilitating disease. It can destroy your self esteem and even make it difficult for you to leave your house. No matter where you go, you feel out of place and as though everyone is watching you, judging you, or even laughing at you. Whether you are a teenager or an adult, acne can take over your life and make you feel worthless. Dating is hard, making new friends is hard, and even seeing your own family on holidays can make you want to curl up in a corner and hope that no one sees you. I know all of this from personal experience. You see, ever since the age of 13, I suffered from a terrible case of acne. I know what it feels like to try and face the world when all I wanted to do was hide behind a mask. To top it off, nothing seemed to work. Changing my diet didn't help, trying wash after wash and cream after cream didn't help, and there were too many dangerous side effects from prescription medication.
